I have always been a really big fan of movies and television and although this is going to sound ridiculous and weird, I have actually learned a lot of good lessons from scripted wisdom that one character tends to give another character. A lot of the times as well it seems that there is always something going on in my life that I can relate to that character who is receiving the advice. Even if I am distracted and not paying attention the scene will come on and I am dialed in to what is being said.
Although it might not look like it I tend to be a worry wart, I am. I even try to tell myself I am not one, which never works out. So I will cut right to the chase about what movie was on and what line really got to me this time around. If anyone has watched the movie Wedding Crashers, you know that it is a comedy and a lot of things that are said in that movie are not to be taken too seriously. There is however, one scene where Christopher Walken's character and Rachel McAdams character are trying to pick out flowers for her own wedding. You can tell she is getting visibly more annoyed and upset by everything because she simply does not know if marrying this guy will make her happy.
Chritopher Walken's character then interjects, "...Look... we have no way of knowing what lays ahead for us in the future. All we can do is... use the information at hand to make the best decision possible. It's gonna be fine. Your whole life is gonna be fine."
After this I took a big breathe and felt relieved. I know I try and worry about what is going to happen in the future and honestly I have to remember that the future is determined by the choices you make now. So if you make the best possible choice you can with the knowledge that you already have you will ultimately lead to where life is going to take you. Do not be afraid to take chances because it scares you, if you feel like the risk is worth it, it probably is.
